Our post-production build out

CP+B is expanding its post-production over the next two years. We’ve already established our interactive-based editorial group, with editors, audio and desktop post in Miami and Boulder, so we are adding further infrastructure and broadcast capabilities. We’re eyeing a model that will explore how post-production can best function in the overall creative process. We’re doing more and more diversified work, and our expansion comes with a “democratized” sense of content in the future.

We’ll be looking hard for the right talent to join the expansion, and we’re just starting that process now. At the same time we’ll continue to value our relationships with the vendor partners that have helped CP+B grow to what it is today. We’re not undertaking this as a seismic shift, but fortifying an important agency capability.

This will be across all of our offices, and we’re getting the word out there now. Here’s a few points on our philosophy in the build out:

Integration.
Our growth into production is a natural extension of the CP+B philosophy in that integration creates better results for our work. We’ve been working like this since the beginning, with our leadership maintaining integration as a core value.

Amplification of CP+B creative culture.
As our creative deliverables evolve, so will our need to offset the remoteness of the post experience. We will look at the erosion of post as a disjointed process. This will add greater flexibility to our creative model.

A business, embedded.
An independent but physically embedded enterprise-- powered by the industry's best post-production practices as we optimize for working within the in-house model. It is a business, but its quest is for the advancement of the agency business.

Talent hierarchy, talent ecosystem. Talent will persist in driving this. With CP+B’s substantial workflow in broadcast, interactive video, real-time explorations and content, expanding its post services gives opportunity to create an industry-redefining creative studio. Both a hierarchy and an ecosystem of editorial and artist talent will define the expansion. The best in talent will be sought to lead, and the best will be developed within the system.

Technology, connectivity.
Multi-office, technologically advanced and built for sharing of resources. Made to take advantage of and connect the agency's geographic and cultural diversity. It will look to be scalable and portable.

Proximity and partners.
As we ease the involvement of creative throughout the post process, in-house or out,
vendor partnerships will continue to significantly drive the success of CP+B’s work. Our in-house goals variously involve 15-45% of the agency’s overall post business, looking to scale over years, and our system will be built to compliment how we do business with the post community at-large.
